All-New Compact Electric SUV
This has been a big year for new EV announcements with General Motors being among the most active. The latest from GM is the all-new 2024 Equinox EV that follows on the heels of the Chevrolet Blazer EV, Chevrolet Silverado EV, GMC Hummer EV, Cadillac Lyriq EV, all based on the flexible and dedicated Ultium EV platform.
Chevrolet will begin taking orders sometime before the fall of 2023 for the Equinox EV that will carry a low starting price at around $30,000. An all-electric compact SUV at this price that may qualify for federal and state incentives just may be the steal of the decade.

Observations: 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV
The compact 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV joins the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV, slotting just below the midsize Blazer EV, giving Chevrolet four models in its ever-expanding line-up of all-electric SUVs.
Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet, says “The Equinox EV is an EV for everyone. It’s an affordable game-changer, offering an uncompromising experience, with more features, that won’t change your daily routine—except that you will no longer have to stop at the gas station.”
It won’t be long before Chevrolet and the other General Motors brands of Buick, Cadillac and GMC are offering everything they make in an all-electric version.
